ACC Liverpool

The ACC Liverpool (Arena Convention Centre) is a uniquely flexible venue. It houses the award-winning BT Convention Centre with facilities including a 1,350 seat auditorium, 18 breakout rooms plus the 11,000 capacity Echo Arena.

The venue sits at the heart of the city on Kings Waterfront, alongside the Grade I listed Albert Dock and adjacent to the World Heritage site at Pier Head.

ACC Liverpool is also one of the most sustainable venues in Europe. Designed to reduce by CO2 emissions by half, the cutting-edge design includes a raft of green innovations, from sensor-controlled lighting and rooftop rainwater harvesting to riverside wind turbines. Travel information

By air – The Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) features flights from over 75 destinations in both the UK and Europe. The airport is a 20 minute taxi journey to the ACC Liverpool, or alternatively the express bus service on Route 500 takes 25 minutes, dropping you off within a 5 minute walk from ACC Liverpool.

Manchester Airport has an extensive network of international flights, with long haul destinations including America and the Far East served with direct services, Manchester Airport is just 45 minutes’ away via the motorway to ACC Liverpool.

By rail – There are hourly services from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street, the journey lasts just over two hours. From here it is a 20 minute walk or a short taxi drive to ACC Liverpool.

Alternatively there is an underground route on the Wirral Line to James Street station, or take the CityLink Route C4 which takes you directly to ACC Liverpool. If you are travelling from Merseyside you can take the underground to James Street from Liverpool Lime Street station.

By road – Liverpool is easily accessible to motorways from multiple directions across the UK.

Directions:

M6 (from south) – leave the M6 at junction 21A after Thelwall Viaduct and take the M62 to Liverpool.

At the end of the M62 follow signs for Liverpool City Centre along Edge Lane, picking up and following signs for Waterfront. The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is signposted “Waterfront” on the “available spaces” signs that are found across the city.

M6 (from north) leave the M6 at junction 26 and follow signs for M58 Liverpool. At the end of the M58 follow signs for A59 Liverpool.

Continue to follow Liverpool City Centre until picking up signs for the Waterfront. The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is signposted “Waterfront” on the “available spaces” signage found throughout the city.

M53 (from west – North Wales)- From the Wirral, Wales and the M53, leave the M53 motorway at Junction 3 signposted Birkenhead and follow the A552 for the Birkenhead (Queensway) Tunnel and Liverpool City Centre.

Parking- The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is adjacent to ACC Liverpool and features 1,600 secure, covered spaces.

There are plenty of parking alternatives within five minutes’ walk, with 3,000 spaces spread across three separate sites. Most of which are secure and open 24 hours.

Bus and Coach’s- Liverpool offers many bus services in the city centre and around the city.

The Liverpool ONE retail development bus station is just five minutes’ walk from ACC Liverpool, which offers long distance coach services for delegates.

Local services take delegates to the city centre where a convenient shuttle bus service connects to ACC Liverpool. Most Liverpool city centre-bound buses call at either Queen Square bus station (a 15-minute walk or shuttle bus connection) or Liverpool ONE Bus Station, which is only a five minute walk from ACC Liverpool.

The CityLink Route C4 shuttle bus links Queen Square bus station, James Street rail station and Liverpool ONE Bus Station to ACC Liverpool. It operates every 30 minutes, seven days a week, between 7am – 8pm. Valid on this service are Merseytravel prepaid tickets and National Concessionary bus passes.

Walking and Cycling- Liverpool boasts waterfront boulevards and pedestrian plaza’s for those who prefer to walk or cycle.

Cyclists can easily find their way round the city via the designated cycling routes. Routes are available on the City Council website. ACC Liverpool has its own secure cycle parking in the Liverpool Waterfront car park.
